1944 Studies forward to 1948 typography and bogillustration at the ‘ Ecole nationale supérieure d’Architecture et des Arts décoratifs ‘ (La Cambre) Brussels.

1947 first separate exhibition with paintings at Galerie Lou Cosyn in Brussels.

1949 becomes a member of the Cobra group (Karel Appel, Constant, Corneille, Christian Dotremont, Asger Jorn, Carl-Henning Pedersen, etc.) and is part of the first exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
