Poul Pedersen

Born 1933 in France.
Trained as a building painter in 1952, but debuted as an autodidact artist in 1966. Lives and works in Paris. He is known as the letter painter, due to his main work “The Stolen Alphabet”, which consists of selected letters stolen from other artists’ signatures. Poul is a member of the artists’ association Jylland samt Den Frie Udstilling. In 1996, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement of the Danish Arts Foundation.
