Lithography framing
For this lithograph, we recommend framing with a spacer strip that lifts the glass 10 mm from the lithograph. The lithograph is only attached at the top and is free-hanging in the frame – also known as an aquarium frame (see photo). Our frames are handmade and made from the best materials. We use museum glass (UV70) as standard. This ensures the optimal color experience and also protects the litho from UV light.
Choose between frame in solid smoked oak, light oak or black. The profiles are 1.5 cm wide and 3 cm deep. There is a 3 cm gap between the frame and the lithograph all the way around. Supplied with corner mount.
Free shipping on unframed lithographs. They are shipped with PostNord in tubes. Framed lithographs can be picked up at the gallery in Svendborg or delivered by courier (+DKK 400). Allow 3-4 weeks for framing.

A lithograph - also called lithography - is a technique that is almost 250 years old. In short, it is a limestone that serves as the artist's canvas. The artist draws the design directly on the stone - one color at a time. Then the edition is printed with the desired color. The stone is then sanded, and is now ready for the artist to draw the next color. It is a slow process and it is not uncommon for Troels Carlsen's lithographs to have between 10 and 15 layers of color.
