Michael Ahlefeldt is known for his deeply engaged approach to painting and freehand drawing, and with “Drawing to Light” he explores the power of the subconscious through a series of line drawings. Through simplified lines, Ahlefeldt has managed to capture the essence of his subjects and translated them into intense works of light. At first glance, the compositions appear abstract, but upon closer inspection, they unfold into vibrant scenes filled with joy, enthusiasm and energy that invite the viewer closer. The exhibition includes both light works and selected line drawings that serve as the starting point for his light art.
We look forward to welcoming you to an exhibition where intuition and technique come together, and where the light works give us a fascinating insight into Michael Ahlefeldt’s artistic universe. Free admission.
