Rasmus Eckhardt is an exciting Danish artist whose art revolves around man in motion. His career really took off a few years ago. In 2022, he will have his first solo exhibition at the Shrine in New York. A big career leap for Eckhardt.
Education 2002 Krabbesholm High School (art and architecture), 2003 Technical School, Flexible modules (Colour Workshop and Project Workshop), 2007-2008 Art School Spektrum, 2008-2009 Private tuition by Jesper Christiansen, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts.

A lithograph – also called lithography – is a technique that is almost 250 years old. In short, it is a limestone that serves as the artist’s canvas. Rasmus Eckhardt draws the motif directly on the stone – one colour at a time. Then the edition is printed with the desired color. The stone is then sanded, and is now ready for the artist to draw the next color. It is a slow process and it is not uncommon for Eckhardt lithographs to have up to 10 layers of colour.
